Description: Elizabeth Lake is one of many lakes located a few miles from the city of Pontiac. Located in Oakland County’s Waterford Township, this Michigan lake of 363 acres has reported depths of up to 72 feet. It is just north of Cass Lake, and west of Otter Lake.

Elizabeth Lake is a private lake with no known public access. The word given to me the fishing is only fair with reports of Bluegill and occasional Bass. Perhaps as the postcard states, the swimming is better.

Despite the lake being well developed today and with no public access, the card shows a natural Michigan lake “An ideal place for a swim”  Check out the cars.

Tuesday 10/14/47  “Dear Eve, I arrived in Pontiac with the Millers last Sunday. Hope to return home at the eend of this week. It has been warm and pleasant. Nice weather to be visiting, but I am anxious to get Louise.  I have things to do before it gets cold. I will see you soon Your Friend Dot.”
