Description:

biglakeallegancountyBig Lake is located in Watson township in eastern Allegan Township, just outside of the Village of Martin. This Michigan lake consists of 135 acres of surface waters with reported depths of up to 20 feet. 

There is a public boat launch for the lake on the north side of Big Lake, just off 120th Ave. Limited parking and vault style toilets can be found at the site.

Fishermen report catches of Black Crappies, Pike and Bass.

Big Lake is located 163 miles from Chicago, 77 miles from Elkhart and 90 miles to south Bend.

Big Lake is a common lake name for lakes in Michigan. Another Big Lake is located near the town of Evart, in Osceola County.

This Big Lake is more picturesque than the other Big Lake because of the wooded hillsides and less developed natural shoreline. If you are looking to do some early morning fishing, this may be the lake for you.
