Description:

Van Etten Lake, is located in Oscoda Township in Iosco County. This Michigan lake consists  of 1320 acres of surface waters with reported depths up to 33 feet. The lake has its own island called Loud Island.

There is a public access site on the South side of the lake, just off West shore Drive. The site has a gravel surface ramp, toilets and parking for 6 cars.

Fishermen report catches of Northern Pike. 

Wurtsmith Air Force base is just South of Van Etten Lake.

Van Etten State Campground has frontage on the lake.

We have arrived safe and in one piece after a near accident. This is the lake where we are staying. Everything is very nice here; the people are so very friendly. Will be back home in time for Matthew’s special day. Getting excited?
