Description:  Wabasis Lakeis a home to a very popular, northern Kent county park, Wabasis Lake Park offers over 150 wooded acres with lots of lake frontage, a sandy beach, ball courts, horseshoe pits, boat launch, a rental lakefront cottage and a nice spacious modern campground. This Michigan lake is located in Oakfield Township in northern Kent county, boasts of over 410 acres of surface water with reported depths up to 55 feet. Conveniently located in Oakfield Township, just south of Cedar Springs and a short drive North from Grand Rapids.
Much of the Wabasis lakefront is still largely undeveloped. On an early morning one can easily observe and enjoy the large population of waterfowl enjoying the early morning calm waters. Time can quickly get away from you while enjoying their antics as they splash and dive into the peaceful waters. If you are a fisherman or a want to be, Bluegill, Crappie, Perch, Northern Pike or Largemouth Bass may await you here.

When the weather turns cooler in the fall, Wabasis Lake and the park can be an excellent location to observe some of Octobers change of colors reflecting in the lake waters. The cool mornings may be the best with the mist rising from the shimmering waters. One is fortunate to live in Michigan.
